Just an FYI, but Scott Janousek will be giving a talk: Evolution of Flash on Devices in a couple weeks at FlashBelt 2010.
This yearly Flash conference is the premier conference for Mid-West during this time frame, and there are lot of great speakers and content to be found there.
Here is what Scott is presenting:
Flash Evolution on Devices
Did you know that by 2010, 19 out of 20 device manufacturers (i.e. OEMs), worldwide, will have announced support for Flash? Did you know there are over 50 companies working with Adobe as part of the Open Screen Project initiative? Did you know Adobe and its partners are paving the way for Flash experiences on a multitude of consumer electronic devices such as TVs, set top boxes, SmartPhone ,… and yes, even embedded systems … like cars! The session will cover how the long road the Flash Platform has evolved from on devices, starting with its humble “PocketPC” beginnings to today, where Flash is supported on millions of devices, worldwide, in all shapes, form factors, and screen sizes! The days of focusing solely on Flash experiences contained inside just the desktop, are long over, my friends.
Join Scott Janousek, a veteran in the Mobile and Device space with Flash, as he shares some of his stories and experiences from the “trenches”. Scott will speak about his four year journey as both an early adopter with Flash Lite, as well his most recent experiences with Flash 10.1 on various devices platforms.
Scott will cover real world device projects that leverage Flash Lite, Flash 10.x, and even some recent Flash-based experiences made for the Android, including some valuable tips, tricks, and shared insights into the potentials of Flash on devices in the future.
Scott is hoping to blog from the event, so keep an eye on his blog. Also for those interested, there still might be tickets left for this event. Register now.
